This typeface is everywhere!

I can't get away from this typeface, Papyrus. It is everywhere and is way over used!
Just keep an eye out for it on store products, in magazines, ads, on signs, TV, etc.

Where it all comes from

This where I've gotten all my information today. I love this book, I enjoyed
looking at it. "Inside Design Now" by Ellen Pupton, Donald Albecht,
Susan Yelavich and Michell Owens has opened my eyes to yet even
more scintillating design.... I only hope to find more!

Artificial Heart

Here we have an artificial heart. Innovative of a design as anything
this a great break through and a sign of good things to come. Aided
by Fitch design this new technology would cost $70,000 but would
eliminate the constant $10,000 that patients would have to spend
each year on anti rejection drugs. Technology can be a good thing; and
I believe this to be very interesting. Just remember technology is great
but we cannot allow it to take over our life.

Co-Lab

Another cool eco friendly design company. I really liked this concept for
shingles; which uses old rubber tires.

DeMeter

Yeah I wish I had this scent along with Reeses and Neccos. Just check them
out at demeterfragrance.com. I can only imagine what it would be like to
smell like candy for a day!! Heavenly!

Fuseproject

I didn't like too much by this company but I enjoyed these Y water concepts.
I really like how the bottles can be used as a toy. These waters are
pretty rare but will start popping up soon, I know it. They mostly exist in the West in places
like California and Arizona.

Lutz and Patmos

Clothing line from Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos. What else can I say but it
is just hot!

Hella works with Maharam fabrics

Designer Hella Jongerius collaborated with Maharam design
to make these beautiful fabric designs. I would suggest you
research both Hella (jongeriuslab.com) and Maharam (maharam.com)

If natures your thing....

If you like nature inspired design then you should
take a look at Ted Muehling. He makes brillant
organic pieces that are sculptural yet very designerly.
He does everything from jewelry to
lighting to plates.

Inflatable design

Michael Rakowitz created these inflatable shelters hooked up to heat
vents that created some controversy in NYC because homeless people
were flocking to them. But I guess there wasn't anything wrong since
Rakowitz claimed that they were an extension of private property. These
objects are known as paraSITES.

Streng design

You need to check out Christopher Streng at strengdesign.net. He does
some fascinating work. I enjoy his simple forms and colors. But you
need to see for yourself! The piece above is an interior for Hazen.

Yea. they are nice and our new first lady thinks so too!

Another watercolur favurite: Barry Moser

Another keeper. These are illustrations are from "Casey at Bat" written
by Ernest Lawrence Thayer. The picture was used from Cooperstown is
of Dodger's pitcher Nat Rucker.

best photo paper by far!

Fujifilm Premium Plus Photo Paper is By Far the best photo out there. There is probably

better but this is the best I have found on the market. I like it because it shows

true colors that most closely resemble the original picture or painting.
